Where will my session take place?

Newborn, maternity and headshot session are held in my fully equipped home studio located in Bolton, Ontario.  Newborn sessions can last up to 4 hours and are held in the morning starting 9:30 am.  On-location or outdoor sessions are available during the spring, summer and fall seasons.  Travel and setup fee may apply.

When should I book my session?

It is always recommended to book as early as possible.  Generally, 3 months prior to your desired date is ideal,  as sessions are limited.  To guarantee your date, a non-refundable retainer of $50 must be made.  These funds will then be applied to your session cost.  Maternity sessions are ideal between 32-36 weeks of pregnancy.  Newborn session are optimal within 14 days of birth.                           

Why is it ideal to photograph newborns so soon after birth?    

 The actual newborn portion of a babies life is very short and often a blur for parents.  Capturing them at this stage is magical and allows for ultra sleepy, squishy and cozy poses.   It is my pleasure to photograph your baby at any stage.  With each day, newborn sleep cycles become shorter, baby becomes stronger, more alert and sometimes develop acne or collic.  Posing them is still possible however fewer poses may be achieved and more time may be required.  

What is my financial investment?

There are two ways of approaching your investment.  The first is by selecting a pre-determined package starting at $495 and includes a certain amount of digital files & hard cover album.  The second is "À-La-Carte" where there is a session fee of $150 (full session) or $100 (half session~now available for newborns) plus the cost of products starting at $50.  No digital files, prints or proofs are included in the session fee.  My goal is to offer you as many irresistible images as possible making it easy to want to display them in your home!  I proudly stand behind my work and offer no minimum purchase required.                                     

How many setups and poses can I expect?

You can expect a minimum of 3 setups. Variety in posing and setups are ultimately dictated by baby. I will strive to offer you a complete gallery of beautifully posed and timeless images. Ultimately, your baby is the boss. On average, babies will safely and comfortably settle in around 3-4 poses.

How many pictures will be shown during my in-studio reveal and ordering session?

You can expect to see 20-30 images for a 2 hour session and 40-60 images for the 4 hour session.

Can I buy more images after my reveal and ordering session?

Your purchased session images will be archived for 30 days following your reveal and ordering session.  All other images will be purged.  Should you wish to purchase more images at a later date, arrangements must me made during the reveal and ordering session and fee will apply.

Can siblings or other guests attend the session?

It is ideal that only subjects being photographed attend the session.  Newborn sessions require a calm environment, a great deal of patience and often last upwards of 3 hours.  It is strongly recommended that one adult/parents take sibling(s) back home or to play immediately following the family/sibling shots are captured.
